Pouting

So I didn't get the apartment with the fab view. :((((

Management agreed to replace the microwave but not the refrigerator or the stove. Ironically, I didn't even ask to have the microwave replaced. It was in fine enough condition really. They're just being cheap by replacing the least expensive appliance - so I passed on the apartment. I'm still kinda down about it...I really liked that friggin place dammit!

Tomorrow I sign the lease (effective 12/1 since they wont hold it until the date I REALLY wanted - 12/15) for my second choice - it's the really nice apartment, with a smaller terrace and a sucky view.

I'm exhausted just thinking about all the things I need to do:

1. get rid of stuff


2. order boxes


3. PACK!!


4. bribe ex and sisters to help me


5. choose a moving company, get a quote, schedule a move date


6. change my address at the post office, work and MULTIPLE creditors


7. buy stuff - window coverings, paint/paint supplies, area rugs, bar stools, a new mattress and too much other shyt to name


8. cancel utilities and cable


9. return cable boxes


10. set up utilities at the new place


11. schedule an appointment for new cable service (different company)

Once I'm all moved into the new place. I need to take care of small repairs at the old place. It's mostly stuff I need a tall person for...batteries in the smoke detectors, change light bulbs, THOROUGH CLEANING, etc. My floors could use a good scrub and shine too. I should probably paint since my color choices probably wont appeal to the new tenant *groan*. Then I have to:

1. bribe sis and ex
   
   
2. take pics


3. figure out if i want to list it through a realtor or not


4. post an ad on craigslist


5. find candidates


6. show the place (getting a realtor is sounding better and better!)


7. work, credit, background check of candidate - I'm not exactly sure how to go about this, so RESEARCH is involved

I'm sure there are a bunch of steps I've forgotten or don't even know about, so if you can think of anything let me know.
